Volume I:
Jared Marshall (Brazilian Space Program, Yuma) and Justin Bernard Williams (Ghostmember, Neosho, Slash Future) spent 6 hours recording palettes of melody and ideas. Each track was arranged separately with about 4 hours of work put into each. The goal: maintain the conversational style with each hour of interaction.

Handshakes ATX is not a band. Music is communal. It acts as language. Bands release records that are typically the result of much exploration of a mutually learned vocabulary. The theme behind Handshakes ATX is to capture early moments of musical conversation between two individuals before they establish a shared vocabulary, and turn it into a narrative for the listener. These records are not about improvised music. It is about arrangement of ideas. Simply sampling that conversation and creating something for the musicians and the listeners.
