Handshakes ATX is not a band. Music is communal. Music interchanges with language. Bands release records that are typically the result of much exploration of a mutually learned vocabulary. The theme behind Handshakes ATX is to capture early moments of musical conversation between two individuals before they establish a shared vocabulary, and turn it into a narrative for the listener. These records are not about improvised music. It is about arrangement of ideas. Simply sampling that conversation and creating something for the musicians and the listeners.
